Absolutely shambolic. Complete lack of communication and absolutely no regards for anyone. Was used as a conveyor for my remortgage - took months to complete. Was due surplus monies once completed and this was requested to be paid directly into my account so that I was able to pay builders... Notified by them after completion date and much phoning that a cheque was sent instead. This has never been received. Asked for cheque to be cancelled and a Chaps payment to be done as requested-forms all scanned and sent back..... Still awaiting payment. I have phoned continuously since then however they do not pick up the phone. Information given by different members of staff is conflicting and actually they are the most unhelpful company that I have ever dealt with. They are sitting on thousands of pounds which is not theirs, and obviously gaining interest on this whilst I am stressed over paying builders for work that they started as I was advised that the money would be in my account the day of completion. It is now weeks later and still no sign of my money. Never ever use this company if you have a choice as they just don't care.

Going through a similar experience now. They literally won't answer any phone calls at all. The phone just rings out - over and over. Worst solicitors I've ever dealt with.

Was selling my flat through this company. Was quoted a price I agreed to complete sale then invoiced with hundreds of pounds Extra charged. Constantly had to chase them for updates. Was advised they would conduct viewings ended up my wife and I doing this as well. Couldn't find my keys for the buyer. Would give zero stars if possible. Avoid at all costs you have been warned.

A disgrace to estate agents and solicitors
We recently purchased a property in Aberdeen, using this company as agents and solicitors. This was a major mistake from the start. Several issues and a few notable ones.
Also being agents for the seller and even though "legally" they should not be biased it was obvious that they were working in the sellers interest totally. We were interested in 2 houses in particular to start with and we put offers on both. We were only told later that the second seller (using a different estate agent) had also accepted our offer, but we were only told this a week later. The property we took had been on the market about a year and AC obviously wanted to push this one to the front to off load.
Also even after the offer was accepted, the seller instructed AC to leave the property on the market, so nothing was received in writing and we were on hold for a number of weeks wondering what the problem was. This was only resolved a couple of months later when we threatened to pull out if we did not receive the paperwork. Amazingly it was produced the same day.
Then the major issue we had. One working day before collecting the keys, we were informed that there had been a water leak in the loft, but that it was "all sorted". When I went to have a look, I found that the majority of the ceiling in one bedroom and the landing had collapsed. This had been repaired, very badly. This event had actually taken place a month previous, but AC informed us they had no obligation to inform us as that was the sellers job. (bearing in mind they were the sellers agents also)!
Once we had taken possession, we found out that this had been the second flood in the property, the first being a year earlier, when the fire brigade had to break in!. We had not been told of any of these issues.
This estate agent and this solicitor in particular I would recommend staying well clear of. They act in a totally cut throat manner to make the highest fee for the least effort and in the end any issues are someone else's problem!
Since moving in we have had the electrics and plumbing checked. In the electrical system we found light bulbs literally filled with water where it had run down the cables, rust internals on the light switches, damaged cables in the loft. On the water side there are many damaged pipes where they had made quick repairs. We actually had a small (third flood) however, as we were home at the time it was minor!
Once we are more sorted with the property we will be looking into getting some advice from a different solicitor!

If I could give zero I would but it’s not an option. Appalling! I remortgaged with them and they won’t answer emails and don’t answer the phone. I am owed money and have complained on numerous occasions. They sent me a letter informing me I can access my mortgage statement but gave no login details (there is no register option just log in) They won’t send me my log in details and I am still waiting for my money. Now, if the ball was in the other foot and I owed them money.....
Don’t go anywhere near them, I wish I knew then what I know now :-(was

I have had the same experience just now! I am going to report them to the Ombudsman. They are shocking and deny any culpability. I’ve got several properties and have probably switched providers at least 20 times in the past 12 years and have NEVER had such shoddy service.

What should of been a very simple property purchase, Aberdeen Considine were quite incompetent at each step. Poor advice to us as clients, they simply follow procedures which are beneficial only to themselves and no practical guidance given.

Our Remortgage completed finally! via Aberdein Considine and was a very unprofessional and shockingly bad service from start to finish. Both very surprised at the mistakes being made from what we thought was a well respected and professional Solicitors service. Please be very careful when looking for legal services, and listen to friends and family as choosing the wrong firm is a very stressful and frustrating waste of time and energy. Stay away!

Stay away from them. They will appear as the least pricey among what seems the group of top-companies. Again: stay away, they are not worth it!
It's an arrogant company that will stop dealing with you once you signed up with them. Their quality of work might be up to required level but they certainly don't have you, the customer in mind when communicating. Approach them with great mistrust and ask as many questions. Be happy when they answer anything. In fact, they will decide not to respond to your questions and not share information nor documents.
Their interest is not to get the best results for you, but rather 'get a deal done'.
Their timing is often very off - you need to push them all along, otherwise they won't do a thing.
That does include their property-showing process (such poor service is what you get when they don't charge you for it) and the handling of paper work.

Aberdein Considine are ruthless in their quest to repossess properties from people who have had the misfortune to fall into arrears. They do not offer any type of help and appear hellbent on repossession, every call or letter, sent or received by them is added to their exorbitant costs. They are apparently one of the fastest growing estate agencies, build on the back of peoples misfortune and misery. One star for people skills, 5 stars for ruthlessness

For a company that prides themselves on apparently being Scotland's Number 1 solicitor, they are absolutely appalling. The initial valuation of my house was done by a young, inexperienced girl, who seemed more interested in selling me a mortgage appointment than actually selling my house. I can only assume they work on mortgage commission, because that's all I got from her.
It took ages to get my house on the market after having to have the photos re-done. Not very professional at all.
If I'm paying for a solicitor to sell my house I'd like to meet the solicitor at least once! Not just a secretary for signing my documents.
Horrible service and I would not recommend using this company at all.
